Nile Monitors foraging for food in a “garbage dump” next to our hotel , their mangrove habitat is to be seen in the background…had to hide to take those pictures to avoid the lizards fleeing from my sight.
Same ritual every morning : Nile Monitors foraging for food in a “garbage dump” next to their mangrove habitat and located few meters from our hotel.
Most of the trash was dumped straight from the hotel’s kitchen !!! a Nile monitor “All-You-Can-Eat” heaven !!!
Those well-fed Nile’s were the biggest i saw during my stay in the Gambia and that right next to our hotel !!!
